When it comes to summertime, we all know that bright hair colour braids is the perfect way to make a statement and to stand out from the crowd. Whether it’s a red, blue or even a purple style, there is no better time to rock it than in summer.
It’s why this season, Darling is excited to bring some serious colour into your life. We’re almost certain that we won’t let you down! With the #AddColourDarling campaign, you will be inspired to go big and bold in your colour of choice this summer.
Regarding the #AddColourDarling campaign, Darling hairstylist Jimmy Shibambu, says, “With the #AddColourDarling campaign, we want to encourage all people to experiment with the various colours in our One Million Braid collection and other vibrant ranges that suit all personalities, budgets and occasions.”
This colour spectrum was created to give everyone an opportunity to experiment and experience different shades.

Darling offers a variety of fantastic and colourful styles for every summer occasion. This includes the striking bright new Marble Braids, Superstar Braids and our One Million Braids that are perfect for hot water sealing. Our natural styles collection includes the bold red Rough Dred and even the blonde and white Bantu Locs for that edgy look. We even have colourful weaves for you to experiment with like the ombre blue Brazilian Wave Weave, the Nikita Weave, the Kerry H and many more.

#AddColourDarling Competition: Terms and Conditions
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully.
Participation in this Competition will constitute your agreement to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, please do not participate. Terms and conditions will be published on Darling South Africa’s Facebook page. Darling Hair, a division of Subinite Pty Ltd (“The Promotor”) situated at 680 Joseph Lister Street and Constantia Boulevard, Constantia Kloof, Roodepoort hereafter referred to as “the Promoter”, will run the #AddColourDarling Competition hereafter referred to as “the Competition”.

1. COMPETITION PERIOD:
1.1. The Promotion will run from 8 January 2019-28 February 2019 (“the Competition Period”).
1.2. No entries received after midnight on the 28th of February 2019 will be accepted.
1.3. Winners will be announced on the 8th of March 2019.
1.4. The duration of the Competition may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the Promoter.
2. WHO MAY ENTER:
2.1. All Participants must:
2.1.1. Be a natural person and be 18 (eighteen) years of age at the date of the entry.
2.1.2. Be a citizen of the Republic of South Africa and/or a legal resident of the country.
2.1.3. Be in possession of a valid South African Identity Document or/ valid residency documentation (i.e. permanent resident permit)
2.2. Participation in this Competition excludes directors, members, partners, promotional and advertising agents, merchandisers, employees or consultants of the Promoter, their Agencies, organisers and participating stores, of the Competition and the spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner or associate of any of the said persons.
3. COMPETITON MECHANICS:
3.1. Enter this competition by purchasing any Darling colour braids hairpieces and send us a picture of yourself showcasing your new colourful hairstyle on any or all of our social media platforms (Instagram; Twitter; Facebook) using the hashtag #AddColourDarling. Ensure that you tag Darling SA and your hairstylist (who also stands a chance to win if you win). Please ensure that you also keep your till slip as evidence of your purchase.
3.2. Once you have entered the competition, you and your hairstylist will stand a chance to win R10 000 each.
3.3. Winners will be selected by Darling SA and the judges’ decision is final.
3.4. Participants may enter as many times as they wish over the promotional period, but may only qualify to win the competition once.
3.5. The competition will be overseen by an external auditor as per the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, regulation 11(5).
4. THE PRIZE
Participants in this Competition stand a chance to win:
4.1. Cash prize of R10 000 (Ten Thousand Rand) for each winner and their hairstylist. There will be a total of 5 winners in the competition with the total prize value of R100 000. For the avoidance of doubt, the winner and the hairstylist who created the winning hairstyle will each win a cash prize of R10 000.
5. CLAIM YOUR PRIZE
5.1. Once the winners have been selected the Darling Team will get in contact with them. If the Promoters are unable to reach any of the prize winners after 3 (three) attempts made within 3 (three) working days of their name being drawn, for whatsoever reason, including incorrect telephone numbers or inoperative telephone numbers, such winner will be disqualified and a runner up finalist will be deemed the potential prize winner subject to the terms and conditions herein. 5.2 The prize winner may be required to answer a few questions regarding his/her eligibility as well as be requested to submit certain documents such as proof of purchase (receipts) and a copy of his/her ID and/or driver’s license
5.3 The prize winner must supply valid South African banking details and bank stamped proof of bank account no older than 3 months.
5.4. Prizes are not transferrable.
5.5. All winners will be required to sign an acknowledgement of receipt of the Prize.
6. INDEMNITY
6.1. To the extent permitted by the Consumer Protection Act and any other applicable law:
6.1.1. The participant and/or winner(s) hereby indemnifies the Promoter, its associated companies (directors, officers and employees) and agents against any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages or loss of any kind regardless of how this was caused, and whether it arose under the law of contract or delict or otherwise, because of the participants’ entrance to the Competition.
6.1.2. The Promoter excludes all warranties (express or implied), representations and liabilities regarding this Competition (other than for death or personal injury caused by its gross negligence and/or fraud).
6.2. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of participants (including but not limited to a participant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to reject any participant who has not complied with these Terms and Conditions. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
6.3. Neither promoter nor its agents or distributors will have any liability in relation to this Competition.
7. CONFIDENTIALITY
7.1. Participants of this Competition are voluntarily providing their personal information to the Promoter, its associated agencies and the third-party service providers running the Competition in conjunction with the Promoter. By entering this competition, participants authorise the Promoter to collect, store and use (not share) personal information of participants for communication or statistical purposes.
Participants are entitled to decline any marketing communication and inform the Promoter in writing should the participant wish to be removed from all communication. By entering this competition, the participant consents that the Promoter may use names, images and videos taken of the winners/participants for publicity purposes, without any further remuneration being payable to the winners/participants.
All entry material will become the sole property of the Promoter. However, the participant/winner has the right to decline to participate in any promotional activity or to object to these images being used by written notification to the Promoter at 680 Joseph Lister Street and Constantia Boulevard Street, Constantia Kloof, Roodepoort Attention: Legal Department. The written notification is to reach the Promoter by no later than the stipulated draw date.
8. GENERAL
8.1. The Promoter reserves the right to amend, modify, change, postpone, suspend or cancel this Competition and any prizes, or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason that the Promoter reasonably deems necessary.
8.2. The onus rests on the participants to check the Darling SA website, Facebook or other social media platforms for updates to the Terms and Conditions.
8.3. No liability shall lie on the Promoter in favour of any participant, winner (s) and/or third party arising from such cancellation, suspension or termination. Therefore, the participant waives his/her right which they may have against the Promoter and hereby acknowledges that they will have no right of recourse or claim of any nature whatsoever against the Promoter.
8.4. The Promoters decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
8.5. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Facebook.
8.6. In part or all of any clause of these Terms and Conditions is illegal, invalid or enforceable:
8.6.1. It will be read down to the extent necessary to ensure that it is not illegal, invalid or unenforceable, but if that is not possible;
8.6.2. It will be severed from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions will continue to have full force and effect.
8.7. Any dispute with number ownership (such as more than one individual claiming to be the owner of the same number – verbally or otherwise) will result in immediate disqualification of both the number and the individuals and no negotiations will be entered into.
8.8. The promoter reserves the sole right to disqualify without notice any entries that engage in purchasing votes or acquiring votes through any false medium. Such entries will be automatically deleted.
8.9. The promoter reserves the sole right to disqualify any entries that contain profanity, sexual content, abusive language or any other offensive content.
8.10. The promoter reserves the right to cancel this competition at any time and is not liable to provide notice thereof.
